An East Hartford-based distributor of construction and industrial supplies has expanded its footprint in the North Carolina market.
The NEFCO Corp., headquartered at 411 Burnham St., on Wednesday announced its buyout of Charlotte-based Blume Supply Inc., also a construction and industrial distributor.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
After acquiring the specialty supplier, family run NEFCO now has 11 distribution hubs located across the East Coast, according to President David Gelles. That includes sites in Boston, New York locations in Albany and New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Greensboro, N.C.
The sites are strategically located across the East Coast to accommodate next-day delivery, the company said.
Founded in 1981, NEFCO delivers supplies to general and specialty contractors focused on electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing.
