Dutch Point Credit Union named Wethersfield’s Business of the Year

Wethersfield’s Dutch Point Credit Union was named Business of the Year by the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce. The annual award recognizes local companies for their dedication to the town and community. Dutch Point Credit Union was recognized for its participation in several local events including the annual Cornfest and Holidays on Main. CT attorney inducted into National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals

Pullman & Comley attorney and retired judge Robert L. Holzberg has been inducted into the Connecticut Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. The NADR is an association whose membership consists of attorneys and judges distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of commercial conflict resolution, and their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution. Holzberg leads the alternative dispute resolution practice at Pullman & Comley, serving as a mediator, arbitrator and private judge in a wide range of complex civil matters in both state and federal courts.

Connecticut ad agency wins 29 ad club awards

Glastonbury ad agency Cronin and Co. won a company record 29 awards at the 60th annual Ad Club award show, including three Best of Industry Awards for its campaign work with Amica Mutual Insurance Co., Liberty Bank and Montefiore Medical Center. Cronin amassed seven gold, 11 silver, and 11 bronze “pencil statues” that are distributed to winners. Projects ranged from television spots for Amica Mutual, Liberty Bank, and UConn Health; to out-of-home work for McDonald’s; to comprehensive and integrated campaigns for Montefiore Medical Center.

Murtha Cullina attorney honored by CT Veterans Legal Center

The Connecticut Veterans Legal Center honored Murtha Cullina attorney Eric Miller for his efforts supporting Connecticut Veterans. Miller was recognized by CVLC, a nonprofit that helps veterans recovering from homelessness and mental illness overcome legal barriers to income, housing, and healthcare, for successfully representing veterans facing eviction.

Hartford Steam Boiler recognized for developing boiler safety standards

The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. has been cited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for its contributions to creating, adopting and enforcing the national Code, which supports the construction and inspection of safe and reliable boilers and pressure vessels around the world. HSB, an original contributor to the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, was one of four organizations honored and the only insurance or inspection company.
