Cigna Corp. has named Rosanna M. Durruthy as chief diversity officer, a new post for the Philadelphia managed care provider with major operations in Bloomfield.
Durruthy will oversee Cigna’s diversity strategy and will report to John Murabito, executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
She previously was CEO and chief talent strategist of AEQUUS Group LLC in New York, where Cigna says she specialized in diverse emerging leader development and social network analysis.
Before that, Durruthy held human resources posts at Merrill Lynch and video chain Blockbuster Inc., and was chief diversity officer at entertainment giant Vivendi Universal.
Durruthy attended Harvard College and the Marymount College of Fordham University.
She is a member of the board of directors of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy.
