United Technologies Corp. has announced two changes on its board of directors, The Associated Press reports.
The Hartford manufacturer of jet engines, elevators, heating and cooling equipment and other aerospace and building components said Friday that Dupont Co. Chairwoman and Chief Executive Ellen Kullman has been elected to the board.
The move is effective Jan. 3.
Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Kellogg Co. CEO, Carlos Gutierrez, has resigned from the board. He has accepted a position as a vice chairman of the Institutional Clients Group and a post at Citigroup Inc.
Gutierrez was elected to the UTC board in February 2009.
