A Fairfield investor recently paid $3.65 million for a downtown New Haven, mixed-use building blending 10 apartments over a restaurant space.
In a deed recorded Jan. 22, a limited liability company headed by Jack Caserta, of Fairfield, bought the 12,618-square-foot, three-story building on about one-tenth of an acre at 124 Temple St. from another Calle 111 LLC, whose principal is Sergio Spodek, founder of Manhattan-based real estate investment and management company DMB Properties Inc.
The 1900-vintage building features a classical style with arched windows and a brick and block exterior. It hosts Italian restaurant Olives and Oil in a 3,500-square-foot space on the first floor.
Above, the building holds four, 600-square-foot studio apartments; five, 1,000-square-foot, one-bedroom apartments and one, 1,200-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment.
The property was listed by Mallory Chila and Ian Rawlinson, of New Haven-based United States Multifamily.
