Downtown New Britain apartments sell for $2.5M

A 44-unit apartment property in downtown New Britain has sold for $2.5 million, according to the deal’s broker.

The property at 38-50 Main St., which includes five retail storefronts, officially changed hands on Monday. 

The buyer was Milestone Apartments LLC, which is controlled by Amit Lakhotia of Bridgeport. 

The seller was 38-50 MAIN LLC, which is controlled by Robert Frenkel of Brooklyn, New York.

The property, which sits on 0.29 acres, was built in 1905 and renovated in 1996. It includes one-bedroom and studio apartments with rents that range from $623 to $733, according to CoStar.

Eric Amodio from Amodio & Co. Real Estate represented both the buyer and seller in the deal.
