Downtown Hartford specialty insurer relocates to suburbs

RT Specialty, a wholesale distributor of specialty insurance with locations across the country, has left downtown Hartford and relocated to Farmington.

The company has signed a 10-year lease for 23,858 square feet at 1 Farm Glen Blvd., according to CoStar. It also has an office in Bloomfield. 

RT Specialty moved from its downtown location at 20 Church St., also known as the Stilts Building. 

1 Farm Glen Blvd. is owned by West Hartford-based Figure Eight Properties

Cynthia Cao, Bruce Simons, Phoebe Ky and Steve Kindl of Figure Eight Properties represented the landlord, CoStar said.
