Leaves weren’t the only things falling in September. Connecticut single-family home sales took a 21.8 percent fall during that month, the largest monthly decrease since September 2006, according to The Warren Group . The significant drop correlates with the three months proceeding the July credit market crunch. Sales of single-family homes dropped to 2,386 from 3,051 12 months ago. The median price of single-family homes in September fell 2.5 percent to $268,000 from $275,000 last year. Windham County experienced the most significant drop in the number of sales, down 35.4 percent to 73 in September 2007 from 113 in September 2006. Middlesex County had the least drop with a 7.32 percent drop to 152 homes this past September from 164 in 2006.
