Former U.S. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham will be opening market doors for Wallingford-based Proton Energy Systems after the company hired him to push its hydrogen technologies in North America and the Middle East.
The Abraham Group, an international strategic consulting firm based in Washington D.C., will use its contacts with energy industry leaders to help Proton find commercial partners, Proton CEO Robert Friedland said last week.
Abraham is a former U.S. senator from Michigan who served as energy czar in the first term of President George W. Bush. Financial terms of the partnership, which began March 1, were not disclosed.
