According to Hands on Hartford program manager Janet Bermudez, Don Goodman has become the organization’s own Secret Santa.
Since joining Hands on Hartford, Goodman has helped serve holiday meals to the 100 to 250 homeless and lonely who have no place to go during the holiday season. Goodman’s efforts aren’t limited to the festive December period, however. Goodman is involved with all 12 holiday dinners Hands on Hartford sponsors throughout the year.
For at least 12 years, he has been working with Hands on Hartford volunteering his time to organize, staff, stock, serve and clean up after holiday meals at a local area soup kitchen. For Goodman and his children who join him, it’s become a family tradition.
