Dominion, the operator of the nuclear Millstone Power Station in Waterford, is offering $1.5 million in educational grants to fund energy, environmental, and workforce development programs.
Connecticut educators are encouraged to submit applications online at www.dom.com and searching grants by May 15. The company may award grants up to $50,000 for higher education programs and $10,000 for K-12 programs.
The grants are available to schools and colleges in communities served by Dominion. In addition to Connecticut, the other states are Rhode Island, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
