Massachusetts urgent care center operator Doctors Express is expanding into Connecticut.
The company plans to open in March its first Nutmeg State urgent care center in Danbury that will employ a staff of physicians, x-ray technicians, and medical assistants that will provide treatment for cuts and fractures to ear, eye, lung and skin issues.
The facility, at 2 Main St., will have its own on-site laboratory, pharmacy and x-ray equipment enabling doctors to diagnose and treat illnesses, dispense medication and set broken bones.
Additional services include pre-employment exams, drug screening, and pre-surgical, sport and school physicals.
Doctors Express operates  more than 70 walk-in medical centers across the country.
