The Department of Motor Vehicles is reopening Tuesday its four photo license centers, as an extended deadline for license renewals and other transactions approaches.
The DMV shut down the Middletown, Derby, Milford and Stamford centers a month ago in order to better staff its core branches, which were experiencing long lines after a multimillion-dollar software upgrade.
Motorists whose documents have expired since Aug. 11 have until Oct. 10 to transact their business with the DMV, some of which can be completed online or at AAA offices.
Middletown and Debry are open Wednesdays and Fridays, while Milford is open Tuesdays and Thursdays. Stamford is by appointment only.
