A meeting during which a proposed reconfiguration of the Danbury Fair Mall was set for discussion and possible action Tuesday night was postponed until next month.
The Planning and Zoning Commission’s Sept. 26 meeting was rescheduled to Oct. 10, the city’s Planning and Zoning Department said Wednesday morning.
The mall’s owner, Danbury Mall LLC, has proposed a zoning text amendment that would allow it to convert a section of the mall that houses the former Lord & Taylor store into as many as 144 apartment units.
The mall has asked the Planning and Zoning Commission to designate the 116-acre site as a Mixed-Use Regional Mall Zoning District, which would allow dozens of non-retail uses, including a brew pub.
The application states that 93% of the gross building area would remain non-residential.
