T-Mobile USA named telecom sales veteran John Diefenbach as its first vice president general manager to oversee ramping up of its New England region.
Based in Newton, Mass., Diefenbach will also oversee sales at all 90 T-Mobile retail properties and more than 600 independent and national telecom vendors in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont and Massachusetts.
T-Mobile also employs more than 850 in the region.
Prior to joining T-Mobile, Diefenbach held a number of leadership roles with Sprint Nextel, the most recent of which was New England area vice president.
He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Montclair State University in New Jersey. In his free time, John contributes as an executive board member of the Boston Police Athletic League.
