Robert DeZinno has been appointed president & CEO of the Connecticut Restaurant Association.
He will replace Simon Flynn, who served as the association’s president for 12 years.
In his new role, DeZinno will develop marketing and branding strategies for Connecticut restaurants, seek to improve the state’s hospitality industry and work to increase association memberships. Currently, DeZinno also serves as president of the Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation.
Previously, he served as vice president of education for the Connecticut Restaurant Association, and has also owned and managed several Connecticut restaurants.Â
Currently, DeZinno is the managing partner of DT Media Group, where he develops marketing, branding and Web campaigns for restaurants and other businesses.
“New restaurants are opening daily, adding to the state’s vibrant dining scene,” said DeZinno. “A strong trade association offers its members the business support they need to prosper. We will assist every step of the way to ensure their success.”
