A developer is seeking approval to build nearly 100,000 square feet of industrial and commercial space on two South Main Street properties in Middletown.
Black Diamond Partners LLC, controlled by Marc and Elena Fontaine of Glastonbury, has submitted a plan for three buildings totaling 99,797 square feet at 1985 and 2015 South Main St., according to a report prepared for the city's Planning & Zoning Commission.
The proposal calls for one 40,447-square-foot building and two multi-level buildings containing a combined 59,350 square feet. One of the buildings would contain 16 tenant spaces, each with its own office and restroom, according to application materials.
The project would occupy just over 8.1 acres across the two South Main Street parcels. It would include parking, loading areas, landscaping, lighting, stormwater management infrastructure and a shared access drive serving both properties.
The proposal was listed as a new business item on the agenda for the Middletown Planning & Zoning Commission's June 24 meeting.
