Developer paid $6M for former Westport Humane Society property

Darien-based V20 Group paid $6 million for the former Connecticut Humane Society property in Westport, where it plans to build 30 housing units, newly available property records show. The Sept. 3 sale price was not disclosed when V20 announced the acquisition last week. The 1.77-acre site at 455 Post Road East previously sold for $3.5 million in July 2025. Westport officials have approved plans to demolish the existing buildings and construct 25 rental apartments and five townhomes. V20 has said construction will take 16 to 18 months, with leasing inquiries beginning in early 2027.
