Developer buys Bristol site for mixed-use medical, commercial project

A Westport-based developer has purchased two Bristol lots for a planned mixed-use medical office and commercial site.

Targeted Endurance Bristol LLC, of Westport and Ponte Vedra, Florida, bought 1251 and 1265 Farmington Ave., for $3.28 million from the estates of Douglas and Jeanette Mahannah in a deal recorded March 1, according to city land records.

Plans for the nearly 9-acre mostly vacant parcel, which were approved in March 2023 by the city Zoning Commission, call for a 30,000-square-foot medical office building, 5,500-square-foot fast-food restaurant with drive-thru, 3,500-square-foot car wash, and 160 parking spaces, along with sidewalks and a one-entrance driveway at the intersection of Farmington Avenue (Route 6) and Sheila Court.

The site sits near other mixed-use commercial properties including a retail center, small medical office, condominiums and fast-food restaurants.
