Developable land in Farmington sells for $340,000

Vacant commercial land in the town of Farmington, which was marketed as a prime development site, has sold for $340,000, town records show.

The 4-plus acre property at 556 New Britain Ave., sold this month.

The buyer was Unionville-based Jones Construction LLC, which is controlled by Richard C. Jones, state records show. 

The seller was Ponti Realty Co. LLC.

It was not immediately clear what the plans are for the property, but a marketing brochure for the listing outlines various potential uses ranging from space for a warehouse, wholesale/distribution center, vet or bakery, to office or medical use or even a bank site or convenience store.
