Jordan’s Furniture will move into the former Lord & Taylor store at Westfarms mall.
The furniture and mattress retailer will be one of the largest furniture stores in the state, with more than 120,000 square feet of showroom space, the company said in an announcement.
Also, the store will have 5,000 square feet of entertainment space and a restaurant.
The store is expected to open during the first quarter of 2024. It will be Jordan Furnitutre’s eighth location in the Northeast, and second in Connecticut.
Jordan’s Co-CEO Josh Tatelman said Farmington is the right market for the store.
“Many residents in Connecticut have already heard of Jordan’s, with a store in New Haven that boasts the largest indoor ropes course in the world, plus professionally designed showrooms full of beautiful furniture and mattresses,” Tatelman said. “Once open, our store will be a destination.”
Jordan’s also has locations in Avon, Natick and Reading, Massachusetts; Nashua, New Hampshire; Warwick, Rhode Island; and Portland, Maine, along with a distribution center in Taunton, Massachusetts.
