New Britain’s Community Mental Health Affiliates Inc. named Diane Desmarais its northwest regional director, managing its operations in Salisbury and Torrington.
Based in Torrington, Desmarais has extensive experience with counseling, administration and advocacy in social services, and she most recently worked as a team leader and supervisor with Wellmore Behavioral Health in Waterbury.
She previously served as a clinical supervisor at Central Naugatuck Valley HELP Inc., and as a program coordinator/case manager at the Waterbury Health Department.
Desmarais is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. She holds a master’s in both clinical counseling and human services, and a BA in psychology.
