The Plaza on the Green in downtown Derby sold this week for $1.73 million, according to an announcement from Derby’s Town/City Clerk Marc Garofalo.
Sterling Plaza Management Group LLC sold the property, at 101 Elizabeth St., to 101 Elizabeth LLC, city records show.
The principal and managing member of 101 Elizabeth LLC is Gregory Geaski of 232 Amity Rd., Woodbridge. Geaski owns the business Servpro of Milford-Orange-Stratford, which does cleanup and restoration work.
Anthony Staffieri, the former mayor of Derby, is listed as agent and manager of the seller, Sterling Plaza Management Group LLC.
The plaza is near the city’s Green and the historic Sterling Opera House. The two-story building sits on .82 acres and has a mix of tenants, including a church, embroidery business, hair and nail salons.
