The Connecticut Office of Energy Efficiency Business started Tuesday offering free assessments to help business owners in Derby cut energy costs.
The OEEB is a statewide program designed to provide energy efficiency services to local, harder-to-reach businesses and communities through door-to-door outreach.
Assessments for businesses include whether the businesses should seek alternate heating and electricity arrangements, as well as options for financing and referrals for funding.
Eligible businesses include small grocery and retail stores, barber shops, restaurants, beauty salons, and small offices.
