Fast-casual restaurant chain Noodles & Co. is coming to Connecticut.
The Denver-based company, which serves up made-to-order noodles, salads, soups and sandwiches inspired from Asian, Mediterranean, and American cuisine, said it has signed a franchise agreement with local developers Robert and Bradford Barton to open several locations in Hartford County over the next five years.
The first restaurant, whose location is not yet known, is scheduled to open in summer 2012.
Robert and Bradford Barton, who have established a limited liability company Hartford Noodles, previously developed Five Guys Burgers & Fries in Connecticut.
This year, Noodles & Company was ranked as one of the top 10 fastest-growing chains by Technomic, Inc., and named one of Parents magazine’s “10 Best Restaurant Chains.”
Among its diverse mix of offerings are mac & cheese, pad Thai, Chinese chop salad, pesto cavatappi and a Wisconsin cheese steak sandwich.
The company provides fresh and made- to-order meals, and dishes are delivered to the table on real china with real silverware.
Noodles & Co. has about 260 restaurants in 20 states.
Its entrance into Hartford will be its first foray in the northeast.
