The Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection is soliciting nominations for land conservation locations.
Connecticut has 63 designated greenways listed in the State Plan of Conservation and Development, which are eligible for a variety of grants. As DEEP is updating the plan, it is soliciting nominations for more official greenway designations.
Greenways are meant to protect natural resources, preserve scenic landscapes and provide easy access to the outdoors. All designations are determined by the Greenways Council.
Nominations are due May 1, and the form is online at www.ct.gov/dep/greenways.
