The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said it may seek further proposals from private entities for the future use of Sunrise State Park is East Haddam.
The 143-acre park, formerly known as Sunrise Resort, was acquired by the state for $3.2 million in January 2009. The state tried unsuccessfully last year to find a developer last year for the park.
Sunrise contains a number of rundown buildings from the former vacation site. The state has torn down some of the structures.
DEEP will hold a meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Nathan Hale-Ray High School in Moodus to update residents and solicit feedback about the park.
