The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection will conclude its Connecticut State Parks Centennial on Saturday at a 10 a.m. event at Haddam Meadows State Park in Haddam.
The five-hour event, called The Sky’s the Limit, will include many flying-related activities like kite flying, a birds of prey program, model aircraft, astronomy, bird hikes, and a bat program.
The year-long centennial celebration sponsored by DEEP and the Friends of Connecticut State Park and the Connecticut Forest and Park Association was designed to showcase all 107 state parks, to encourage residents and tourists to visit.
The parks host 8 million visitors annually.
