Regan Communications Group in Hartford promoted Sandrine Sebag to senior vice president of public relations. Sebag was formerly vice president of public relations before her promotion.

 

Horton International in West Hartford appointed Patrick T. Murphy managing director. Murphy was formerly executive vice president at Webster Financial Corp.

Response Insurance Group in Meriden named John Ammendola executive vice president, chief operating officer and president. The company also hired Susan Stonehill Claflin as vice president and general counsel. Ammendola was most recently senior vice president of corporate financial planning and analysis at Safeco Insurance Co. Claflin was formerly group general counsel in claim at Travelers.

USI Consulting Group appointed John Murphy vice president of new business development. Murphy was previously vice president and senior financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.

Kathryn E. Vosney was promoted to vice president in the professional liability division at TD Banknorth in Wethersfield. Vosney was previously assistant vice president at the bank.

Sovereign Bank hired Ana Velez as community banking manager for the Franklin Avenue Community Banking office. Velez was previously business development sales manager at TD Banknorth.

 

William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance appointed Rick Dressler area sales manager in the Simsbury and Granby offices. Dressler was previously manager at Prudential CT Realty in Avon.

The Phoenix Companies Inc. in Hartford promoted Peter A. Hofmann to senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. Hofmann was previously involved in strategic planning, investor relations and rating agency relations. The company also promoted David R. Pellerin to senior vice president and chief accounting officer. Pellerin was previously chief financial officer of the asset management business.

Craig L. Kanzel was promoted to audit partner at McGladrey & Pullen in their Southern New England office. Kanzel was previously director at the firm.

Central Connecticut State University Institute of Technology and Business Development hired Fred Shamburg as instructor of “Lean Enterprise Tool Certification” training. Shamburg is president of Leanovations.
