• Signature Kitchens & Baths magazine featured Kitchen & Bath Design Consultants in its 9th annual design awards issue. The West Hartford design firm was featured with a select group of designers from across the country that were judged by a panel of professionals.
• The New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks received $2,500 from Alcoa Howmet. The donation will support the SOAR for Science program in Torrington schools.
• The 2007 Carol Rosenwald Spirit of Advocacy award from the Connecticut Long Term Care Ombudsman program was presented to the Connecticut Culture Change Coalition. The organization was recognized for improving quality of care and quality of life for individuals in long-term care settings.
• Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation in Bloomfield received a FREDDIE award from MediMedia for its support of the visually impaired. The awards are presented to contributions to the field of health, medical productions and impact on people.
