The clocks won’t be turning back an hour Sunday at closing time in Connecticut’s bars and restaurants, at least until after all the customers leave, according to a reminder from the Department of Consumer Protection.
Closing time for establishments serving alcohol in Connecticut is no later than 2 a.m. But on Sunday, they must stop serving and allowing the consumption of alcohol at that time, regardless of the end of daylight savings time at 2 a.m., DCP said.
“On Sunday, once [2 a.m.] is reached — the first time — all liquor sales and consumption must stop.”
Consumer Protection Commissioner William M. Rubenstein said in a statement.
