Day Pitney’s Gallant takes CT bar reins

Attorney Keith Bradoc “Brad” Gallant, partner in the New Haven office of Day Pitney, is the new president of the Connecticut Bar Association.

As of July 1, Gallant succeeded New London attorney Ralph Monaco in leading the group for a one-year term. Monaco is now officially immediate past president.

Gallant is a partner in Day Pitney’s  trusts and estates practice group.

The CBA serves as the principal advocacy organization for lawyers and paralegals in Connecticut.

Prior to his active term as CBA president, Gallant served as the CBA vice president and president-elect. During that time he was praised for his work as chair of the CBA Pro Bono Committee and its Legislation Review Committee.

He is a past chair of the CBA’s Estates & Probate Section, serves on the executive committee of the CBA’s Elder Law Section and is a member of the CBA’s Animal Law Committee. He also serves as a member of the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

 A native of New Haven, Gallant also is active in the community and completed four terms as president of the New Haven Free Public Library Board of Trustees.
