Davis to lead NBC Connecticut news operations

NBC Connecticut/WVIT has appointed Tracy Davis to lead the station’s news operations, effective June 1. She will report to Diane Hannes, president and general manager of WVIT. Davis will lead and establish the strategic mission of Connecticut’s multiplatform content for the NBC-owned TV station in Hartford/New Haven. 

In addition to her role as vice president of news for NBC Connecticut, Davis will liaison with Telemundo New England.

Davis, a newsroom leader with more than 17 years of experience, joins NBC Connecticut from NBC 5 Chicago/WMAQ where she worked as assistant news director for the past four years.
