New Britain transportation provider DATTCO on Thursday will deliver the first hybrid bus to the Middletown Public Schools.
DATTCO introduced the first hybrid-electric school bus in Connecticut in 2009, operating the vehicle in New Britain.
The Middletown delivery will culminate at 6 p.m. Thursday when the members of the Middletown Board of Education will ride the hybrid bus.
Headquartered in New Britain, DATTCO operates out of 19 facilities in New England, with divisions for school buses, motor coaches and sales and service.
