New Britain-based bus transportation provider DATTCO Inc. has acquired Flagship Premier Charter Bus Company, of Cranston, Rhode Island, in a deal expected to close Friday, the companies announced.
Flagship Bus, which has been providing motorcoach service to Rhode Island for more than 25 years, will operate under the DATTCO name.
Operations will continue at Flagship’s existing location, and all Flagship staff will keep their jobs, DATTCO said in the announcement. Over time, Flagship will be rebranded.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the Flagship team to our DATTCO family and to collaborating with them to bring a wider array of transportation solutions to the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts market,” said Donald DeVivo, president of DATTCO.
DATTCO is a third-generation, family-owned business with multiple offices, terminals and service facilities throughout New England, according to its website.
