Emily Audibert, Miss Connecticut, and her partner from Arthur Murray Studios scored perfect 10s and danced off with the Mirror Ball Trophy at CRIS Radio’s third annual Dining & Dancing in the Dark event. But dancers Diane Duhaime and Rosie Morlene, CRIS volunteers who produce live news programs are blind, stole hearts when they performed the hustle and tango, respectively, with Arthur Murray professional dancers. The event is a fundraiser for Connecticut Radio Information System, a 33-year-old nonprofit and the only radio-reading service in Connecticut. Pictured are, from left, CRIS Radio Executive Director Diane Weaver Dunne with honorees, William Webb, CRIS Radio Educator of the Year; Donald Brooks accepting the CRIS Radio Business of the Year on behalf of ESPN, and CRIS Chairman William Austin.
