The Western Connecticut Health Network has cut its workforce by 28 employees as a result of the poor economy and changes to the health care industry, the Danbury News Times reports.
The layoffs are all administrative positions and represent less than 1 percent of the network’s 4,484 workers.
The Western Connecticut Health Network includes Danbury and New Milford hospitals. Layoffs occurred at both institutions.
