A Czech Republic subcontractor has assembled its first UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter cockpit for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford.
Aero Vodochody, which has done civilian S-76 helicopter assembly for Sikorsky since 2000, was hired in January 2010 to assemble cockpits for the newest model of Sikorsky’s venerable military warbird. Contract terms weren’t disclosed.
Sikorsky, a unit of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford, also contracts with Kaman Aerospace in Bloomfield for Black Hawk cockpit production.
