Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez cuts the ribbon for the official opening May 6 of the Boundless playground at DeLucco Park. The playground, where children of all abilities can learn together through play, is funded by a $250,000 grant from the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust as part of the CVS Caremark All Kids Can program, which aims to enrich the lives of children with disabilities. DeLucco Park serves more than 6,000 residents in the ClayArsenal neighborhood. Unique features of Boundless playgrounds include handicapped-accessible pathways and playground equipment, and therapy seats that have the necessary support for children with low muscle tone.
Children laugh and play on the new inclusive Boundless playground, a joint initiative between CVS Caremark All Kids Can, Boundless Playgrounds and City of Hartford.
