Curaleaf opens Groton cannabis dispensary for adult-use sales

Curaleaf Groton is officially open for adult-use sales, the company announced, giving the multistate cannabis operator three recreational dispensaries in Connecticut.

Massachusetts-based Curaleaf announced that adult-use sales began at Curaleaf Groton Friday. The now-hybrid dispensary is located at 79 Gold Star Highway. Prior to the announcement, only Curaleaf’s Hartford and Stamford locations had been open for recreational cannabis sales.

Curaleaf CEO Matt Darin said that the company’s goal is to “continue to expand our adult use sales in the state.” The company plans to soon shift operations at its medical-only dispensary in Manchester to a hybrid model.

Company officials said existing medical cannabis patients in Groton will have a dedicated staff and check-out lines for expedited service.
With the new addition of Curaleaf Groton, Connecticut now has 16 cannabis dispensaries open for adult-use recreational sales.
