Curaleaf appoints new president and other leaders from food-and-beverage sector

Cannabis company Curaleaf Holdings has appointed a new president and also hired for several other positions in branding, marketing and retail.

The Stamford-based company is bringing on food industry veteran Rahul Pinto to the newly created role of president.

Pinto has worked in leadership roles at grocery chain Albertsons as well as at PepsiCo and Bacardi.

Curaleaf says his expertise will be used to support Chairman and CEO Boris Jordan in shepherding the business through its next phase of growth and evolution.

Jordan, who co-founded the company, became CEO last August.
