Branford-based CuraGen Corp., a biopharmaceutical company, has named Sean Cassidy vice president and chief financial officer.
Cassidy will replace David M. Wurzer, who is stepping down from his position on Jan. 1. He will remain with the company as an advisor through March 2008.
Previously, Cassidy was corporate controller of 454 Life Sciences Corp., but before that, he was the manager of financial planning at CuraGen from 2001 to 2002. Cassidy, who earned both his bachelor of science degree and MBA from the University of Connecticut, is a certified public accountant in the state.
