The federal government’s health-research agency named Norwalk information-technology giant Xerox Corp. a prime contractor eligible to bid on IT contracts for biomedical research, software development, among other services.
Xerox already is one of the U.S. government’s major IT vendors, working with some 25 federal agencies to process more than 300 million documents a year.
It also processes Medicaid claims for 35 states, handling more than 570 million claims totaling more than $50 billion annually, authorities said.
