Stamford live- and TV-wrestling promoter WWE says its Hollywood movie unit has bought film rights to suspense thriller, Interrogation.
According to WWE Studios, the premise of the plot written by filmmaker Adam Rodin is that a bomb is set to go off in Las Vegas on one of the busiest betting days of the year. An interrogator and a prime suspect clash in the search for the explosive, an event that yields a much bigger surprise.
Rodin was represented by the Bohrman Agency in negotiations, authorities said. .
WWE Studios, struggling of late with some recent flops in its bid to build its theatrical-release and direct-to-DVD release film library, is preparing to release Dead Man Down, which starring Colin Farrell, and The Day, starring Dominic Monaghan, Shawn Ashmore, and Ashley Bell.
It also has multipicture production deals set up with Lionsgate Films and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
