Greenwich equipment-leasing vendor United Rentals Inc. formally completed the $4.2 billion buyout of its Canadian counterpart, RSC Holdings Inc.
The $18-a-share deal included the assumption of $2.3 billion of RSC’s debt, United Rentals said Tuesday.
In connection with the deal, United said its board authorized the repurchase of up to $200 million of its stock from time to time on the open market. The repurchase authorization bears no expiration.
