Connecticut house and condo sales rose strongly in July, but prices softened, statewide Realtors say.
Single-family sales climbed 14.6 percent last month 3,860 units vs. 3,369 sold in July last year, the Connecticut Association of Realtors said Friday.
The median sales price was $275,000, a half-percentage point lower than the $276,400 sales median for July 2014, brokers said.
Townhouses and condominium sales grew 21.2 percent to 959 units sold last month vs. 791 sold a year earlier, the association said. Median prices for those attached dwellings dropped 5.7 percent to $165,000 from $175,000.
