Danbury industrial-gas supplier Praxair Inc. threw the switch on its newest air-separation plant in China’s Anhui province to supply oxygen, nitrogen and clean air to one of the nation’s biggest chemical producers, authorities say.
Praxair China’s 3,000-ton-per-day air separation plant in Wuwei, Anhui province, 100 kilometers from Nanjing, supplies the Anhui Wuwei project of Anhui HuaYi Chemical Co. Ltd. that makes chemicals from gasified coal.
The new supply will be integrated with Praxair China’s liquid production and distribution network in the region, improving distribution efficiency and reliability to the customers in the rapidly growing regional merchant market, Praxair said.
