CT’s Pitney Bowes, IPG form printing venture

Stamford’s Pitney Bowes Inc. and global advertising-marketing giant Interpublic Group launched a partnership in which Interpublic will handle printing services for itself and its ad and public relations clients, authorities say.

Orion Printing is the venture’s name. It is a division of Interpublic’s Orion Holdings unit, itself part of the IPG Mediabrands family of companies. Orion Holdings executive Robert Hoad will run Orion Printing.

Its first clients will be a pair of unidentified IPG agencies in the United Kingdom and South Africa, Hoad said.

Pitney Bowes sells mail- and document-handling equipment and services.
