CT’s Pitkin named to credit union group

Connecticut Banking Commissioner Howard Pitkin has been appointed to the board of directors of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS), the chief supervising arm of state-based credit unions.

Pitkin was appointed by NASCUS Chairman Tom Candon to fill an unexpired one-year term, ending in September.

NASCUS consists of state authorities responsible for chartering, supervising and regulating the nation’s state-chartered credit unions.

Pitkin has more than 30 years of experience as a state regulator, and was recently reappointed as state banking commissioner by Gov. Dannel Malloy.
