Connecticut Banking Commissioner Howard Pitkin has been appointed to the board of directors of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS), the chief supervising arm of state-based credit unions.
Pitkin was appointed by NASCUS Chairman Tom Candon to fill an unexpired one-year term, ending in September.Â
NASCUS consists of state authorities responsible for chartering, supervising and regulating the nation’s state-chartered credit unions.
Pitkin has more than 30 years of experience as a state regulator, and was recently reappointed as state banking commissioner by Gov. Dannel Malloy.
