The newest Great Wolf Lodge family water park is set to open Labor Day weekend adjacent to Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Great Wolf Lodge in Mashantucket will officially debut on May 23, 2025, with a 92,000-square-foot, year-round 84-degree indoor water park with 13 slides as well as a hotel and other family-friendly attractions.
The 549-room Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket is a $300 million project, led by the company’s private equity owners, Blackstone and Centerbridge Partners.
The resort, which is expected to create more than 500 jobs, is part of a partnership agreement with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and is located on 13 acres adjacent to the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket will be the company’s 23rd resort in North America and third resort in the Northeast, including Pocono Mountains, Pa., and Fitchburg, Mass.
Unique to the Connecticut location will be the multi-level, interactive water play structure Otter Cave Waterworks, with intertwined “leaking” water pipes, spray jets, four twisting body slides and Great Wolf Lodge’s 1,000-gallon tipping bucket.
Other attractions include Pequot Plunge raft adventure ride, the Rapid Racer tube slide; High Paw Holler body slide; Alberta Falls tandem tube ride; Forest Flume body slide; River Canyon Run family raft ride; Slap Tail Pond giant wave pool; Crooked Creek lazy river; and Otter Springs toddler area.
The resort will also feature a zero-entry outdoor pool, hot tub and outdoor cabana.
Standard rates for an overnight stay with two days of indoor water park access start at $199.99 per night.
